VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Babysitting during weekly group meetings

    •
  • Helping with fundraising events:
    - Auction and wine tasting in Spring
    - Christmas concert in December
  • Preparing apartments for women who will move in
  • Raking leaves and other yard work
  • Tutoring or being a big brother or sister for the children
  • Tutoring women in our Education/Career Preparation program
    in math, English, basic skills, and computer instruction
  • Mentoring a mother
  • Helping with special events:
    - Holiday parties
    - Health Fair
    - Field trips

  • Gasoline cards and food cards
  • Consumable household products
  • Brooms, dustpans, cotton mops, cleaning supplies
  • Kitchen trash containers
  • Diapers & Pull-Ups (sizes 3, 4 & 5), Baby wipes
  • Phone cards
  • Food storage containers
  • Gift certificates for discount stores and grocery stores
  • Deodorant
  • Hair conditioner



     CLOTHING DONATIONS
    Unfortunately, we do not have enough room to store the donations of women's clothing that so many want to make. Luckily, Goodwill of Youngstown has graciously agreed to allow our women to shop for free in their stores if goods and clothing are donated to Goodwill in the name of Beatitude House. However, we can use children's clothing, sizes baby to young teenager.

    FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
    Much of our funding comes from private donations. If you would like
    to make a monetary tax-deductible gift to Beatitude House or become a Cornerstone*, please see our     Donate Now page.

     *Cornerstones of Beatitude House are those who donate a total of $1,000 or more during the fiscal year (July to June). Every winter, Beatitude House hosts a dinner for Cornerstone donors at which they meet the women and children that their donations help to succeed.
