Thank You Girl Scout Troop #363

by beatitudehouse 30. November 2009 03:32

Members of Girl Scout Troop #363 working toward their Fitness to Fashion Badge recently put together and donated "healthly living" bags to the women and children of Beatitude House.   The bags contained numerous personal hygiene products for the families.  The troop assembled 75 bags which they donated to Beatitude House, the Rescue Mission and Sojourner House.

The troop was excited to have the opportunity to give back to the community.

Thanksgiving Thank You

by beatitudehouse 27. November 2009 03:19

Beatitude House would like to extend an extra special thank you to Ross Scianna and Antone's Restaurant Group for providing Thanksgiving dinner to approximately 70 people from Beatitude House.  The meal included turkey and all the trimmings and made for a very festival holiday.  One mother said, "Without the kindness of strangers I would never have been able to provide my family with a meal like this."

Thank you Ross for your continued support of Beatitude House and our mission to transform lives.

by beatitudehouse 10. November 2009 07:07

This morning members of Beatitude House Green Clean gave of their time to clean the current house of the Kaluza family to help them prepare for their upcoming move.  When the group heard of the community effort to build the family a new home, they knew instantly they wanted to help.

"We wanted to do something to give back," the group said.

Car donations sought

by beatitudehouse 1. November 2009 05:45

Beatitude House is in need of donated vehicles in good working condition.  One of the obstacles our women face when striving to break the cycle of poverty is lack of reliable transportation.

If you or someone you know is planning to purchase a new vehicle, please consider donating your old car to Beatitude House.  If the trade-in value is minor, the tax deduction may be worthwhile.  If interested in making a vehicle donation please contact Beatitude House.
