The Year in Review:  Finances

The Beatitude House Board of Directors and Staff would like to thank all those who contributed their financial resources to help make a difference in the lives of women and children during the past fiscal year. Beatitude House’s largest source of income is the government. We are the recipient of 3 federal and three 3 state grants. In addition, we receive support from the cities of Youngstown and Warren. We are deeply appreciative of the support of foundations, many of which are local. Our board, volunteers and development staff work very hard on our Cornerstone Membership drive, golf outing, annual appeal and auction. These fund raising efforts are essential to our success. The support of many local businesses and the response of the public made a tremendous difference in the success of these efforts. Religious groups include the support of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, the Notre Dame Sisters of Chardon, many churches, and other religious groups who support us through our Partners in Ministry Program.

In examining our expenses, the reader will note that almost 80% of our funds go to direct service: providing the programming that leads our families to success and providing housing, utilities, maintenance for the physical facilities to house the families.

The following charts provide details on the sources of funds and the uses of funds during the past year.

Note: Expenses do not include depreciation.
